Powering
the Future
Boiko Energy is an Australian gas exploration and development company.
A project overview
Boiko Energy (BE) has entered into a joint venture with the Mining Promotion Corporation ( MPC ), a subsidiary of the Zimbabwean government, in the Chiredzi province.
BE believes that the Chiredzi fairway contains a coal bed methane (CBM) gas resource of global significance and is eager to begin appraising it for the benefit of all stakeholders.
The company looks forward to working alongside MPC and helping to power the future of Zimbabwe together.
Our Story: Building Zimbabwe's Future in Energy
The Boiko Team has operated in Zimbabwe for the past five years, initially through the establishment of Jacqueline Resource. Boiko was later formed after the team identified the Chiredzi region as a promising gas province in its own right.
Key: JR Jacqueline Resources gas exploration permit areas BE Boiko Energy gas exploration permit areas
Drawing on geological similarities between Chiredzi and the established coal seam (CS) / coalbed methane (CBM) gas fields of Queensland, Australia, the team recognised a significant opportunity to develop a new energy industry within Zimbabwe. With a combined 100 years of experience in the sector, the Boiko Team is committed to creating a sustainable and impactful gas industry that can drive national and regional growth.
The team firmly believes that Zimbabwe holds the potential to supply energy not only for its own needs but also for the broader Southern African region.
